Highlights of the new portfolio include:

Million-dollar+ claims continue to rise

Go into your next Client meeting talking about the latest catastrophic claims research and trends. You can do this by reading and sharing Sun Life’s 5th annual catastrophic claims report. In this report, you will learn about the top 10 costliest claims conditions across time and industry, breast cancer prevalence, transplant trends, and much more.

The report is composed of data from high-cost medical claims during 2013–2016. A few key findings in the report include:
  • Million-dollar+ claimants were up 26% compared to 2012–2015.
  • Cancer continues to top the chart as the highest-cost claim.
  • The top four conditions remained relatively steady.

Watch for the next report later this summer on high-cost medication trends.
