What’s needed for the census:
  • Date of birth
  • Salary (including bonus and/or commission if benefits are based on either)
  • Optional benefits selections (including amounts)
  • Date of hire
  • Class information, if applicable
Important information you should be updating annually

Self-administration annual census
Did you know that providing Sun Life with an updated self-administration census can help ensure that your premium calculations are in line with your contract? With this information, we can make sure that your company is paying the appropriate premium and therefore avoiding any surprise overages/underages. It could also reveal concerns that, once resolved, can lead to a more seamless claims experience for your employees.

You can submit your updated census through Sun Life Connect or by e-mailing Census.Update@sunlife.com.

 
 

Member information
As changes occur, whether they are related to new hires, terminations, class changes, or salary updates, it's important to keep them up to date in our online portal, Sun Life Connect. Keeping your member information up to date helps us ensure that your employees have timely access to their benefits and that your bill is accurate. Any member adjustments you make will appear on your next bill.

 
 
Making it easy to submit LTD claims
Making it easy to submit LTD claims

Submitting a Long-Term Disability (LTD) claim with Sun Life has just gotten easier. Employees can now submit their LTD claims online. All they have to do is go to www.sunlife.com/us and select “Plan Members” in the “Access your account” drop-down menu. They also have the ability to download and upload claims forms, provide an electronic signature, and check the status of their claims and payments.
